One word: Squash (not the veg)

Excellent cardio, excellent core strength, and super fun to boot. Find a once-a-week partner and go for a nice 90 minute run around the squash court. The constant quick starts and stops and redirection of focus is something that I was not accustomed to training for long distance events. This new change was a very welcome one in my own weekly training regiment. I'm even beginning to play around a C level ranking now.

dude this is normal. you're tired and a little burned out. go and do what you want to do when you want to do it. even if you're skiing or snowboarding as it will still give you a good workout.
if there is one thing i've learned from going pretty non stop over the course of the past 3 years or so is to REST!
why do you think i signed up for the climbing pass? i need to do something different and something that is fun for me. i know i can't keep swimming/biking/running for the next year, because i'd be done by next month. my bike has not moved from it's place in my garage since my century ride 5 weeks ago.
