Doug,

These reviews are based on people that have put in the time, or not, to make this work for them. This is not sketchy. Please explain how this is sketchy. I'd be more than happy to talk with you one on one about this. What more are you looking for in an Ironman training program to fit a busy life?!?!!!!!? Contact me at tekoi@triedge.net

john,

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. But I am curious as to HOW it didn't work? Ben does a fantastic job in taking out all the guess work with everything such as diet, nutrition, supplements, workouts and workout intensities.
There were times where I could not get all my workouts in for a particular week, but I still was able to put in at least 80% of the work.
Ben tells us what to eat, how much to eat, when to workout, how hard or not your workout should be AND offers help if we ask!!!
Did you follow through with the program all the way through your Ironman?

Based on the reveiws I am going to try the program, as an ex sprinter I am not a fan of long sessions or volume weeks. I prefer shorter sharper sessions anyday. I did my first 1/2 ironman last year in 5.18 with 4 sessions a week. Only completed 3 long rides over 2 hrs and 1 long run over an hour during the lead up. My social life is more important to me than getting up at 5am for a 3 hr ride on a sunday morning. So I think this program will be good. Volume training doenst necessary mean faster times, I know alot of people that do "junk miles" and brag about how much they have done in the week.. and they are still slow as a turtle.

I think it all comes down to intensity. I have 47 days to train for the half ironman again..anyone want to offer me a quick program haha!

I used Ben package for Ironman Arizona almost 2 weeks ago and I dominated my race. I really did.
8-12 hours is the average amount of time each week that I trained. There were a few weeks where it went up to 15+ hours, but that was towards the end.
He takes all the guesswork out of your training and all you have to do is follow through.
My 1st Ironman in 2008 (Arizona) my time was 12:15:11. This time around I did it in 11:25:02. Conditions on the course were windy to say the least and I bruised my foot something fierce coming out of T1 which impacted my run quite a bit, but I still did it.
1st Ironman swim: 1:09:00
2nd Ironman swim: 1:11:+

1st Ironman bike: 5:51:+. (Light winds with sunny skies).
2nd Ironman bike: 5:51:and a little change. (The winds were 20+ mph with rain & hail).

1st Ironman run: 4:59:+
2nd Ironman run: 4:09:+ (that was with a bruised foot, where every step was agony. I had been training consistently for a 3:45 marathon, but had to give 25 minutes back the day of the race).

The bottom line here is that I took off 50 minutes off my 1st Ironman and if it wasn't for the winds and my injury, I could have taken more off. The last 6 miles I passed hundreds and hundreds of people with Ben's help.

The Triathlon Dominator program works, and everyone wanted to maximize family time and wanting to finish an Ironman should buy this.

Does anyone know how the plan fits age groupers? I'm 54 and have done 4 -5 Olympic and a couple of half Extremes. My last half was in 5 - 1/2 hours so I'm looking for a training plan that fits my AG and time commitments.

Does anyone know how long has this product been out?

Sam Zeller you mentioned the program was not for everyone can you provide any insight. Do you mean it's not for you if are trying to win a IM or something else.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have never done an Ironman, only a few sprint and olympic distance races. I am going to give an Ironman a shot next year and have purchased Ben's package. I have looked through it and it looks like it is going to be a challenging ride. I can not tell you that I will be able to finish an Ironman next year by doing this plan, but after completing my second week into the program, I feel confident that I will get there.

I don't want to give the details from Ben's program away because he has a great operation going and he needs to fund it, but if you are thinking that doing this program is just going to be 8-12 hours a week of training at your planned Ironman pace, you will be in for a surprise. His plan is well thought out and takes you to peaks that you would have never expected in such a short time, or at least for me.

Ben also goes the extra step and defines swim drills to perform, strength training exercises and diet and supplement plans. I believe this is the complete package and I know I am going to be successful next year. I am thinking about Ironman Arizona and I have a hectic job that will not allow me to train more that 8-12 hours per week.

I've looked the plan over and it seems to make a great deal of sense to me. Is it for everyone, maybe not, but, I believe the quality of work you put into the time allowed makes sense and will provide positive results.

Another thing, in long endurance sports you don't go the full distance or beyond while training for a lot of good, sound reasons, to not get burned out, over-trained or injured.

I feel like Ben is focused on the large group of "non-prefeesionals" out there. I am going to give it a try.
